Riot Games Console Access Guide

Want to jump into Riot games on console? Here’s what you need to know before you get started. Console access depends on the game you’re playing, your region, and your account status, so take a quick look below to make sure you’re good to go.

How to Play on Console

To access a Riot game on console, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Have a Riot Account in good standing
    • No active bans or suspensions at the Riot Account or game level
  • Own an Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation®5
  • Be located in a supported region for the specific game:
Game Title Supported Region
VALORANT NA, EU, JP, BR
2XKO Americas, EMEA, APAC

Linking Your Xbox/PSN Account

As mentioned above, a Riot Account is 100% required to play a Riot Games title on Console.

Just be sure to use the correct Riot Account when linking to console! Since all of your content carries over between PC and Console (see below for more details), you should be able to link your primary VALORANT/2XKO/Riot Account without fear.

Also remember that while content is shared between PC/Console, Ranked progression is not! Again, more details on that below.

PC vs Console Progression

Shared Progression

How progression works between PC and console depends on the game. Below is a quick breakdown of what carries over when you switch platforms.

VALORANT2XKO
  • Account level
  • Currencies (VP, Kingdom Credits, Radianite Points)
  • Recruited agents
  • Weapon skins
  • Battle Pass ownership and progression
  • Mission progression (daily and weekly)

Rank

Players on Console cannot face off against players on PC. You'll have a separate rank and MMR when playing on either platform.

Crossplay

Crossplay is supported across consoles. That means Xbox players will be able to face off against PlayStation players, but not against PC players because fair play is a cornerstone of competitive gaming.

Xbox Game Pass

If you have an Xbox Game Pass, you'll have all the same game benefits on Xbox, but not on Playstation.

Third Party Controllers

VALORANT2XKO
  • PS5 DualSense
  • XBox X|S Controller

*Keyboard and mouse are not supported, and attempts to use them on console (like spoofing) will result in a ban for VALORANT. Riot Games console is meant to be played with a controller.
