Troubleshooting Frame Rate Issues (2XKO)

Matches should feel fast and fluid, not like you’re fighting through molasses. If you’re seeing stutters, choppy animations, or dips in FPS, don’t worry! It’s usually something you can fix with a few quick adjustments.

Check your system requirements

Make sure your PC meets the minimum and recommended specs for 2XKO.

Update your drivers

  1. Ensure your graphics card drivers are updated
  2. Update your Windows to the latest version available

Perform Clean Boot

  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Type msconfig into the text bar
  3. Click on System Configuration
  4. Once open, click on the Services tab
  5. ⚠️ Important: Check "Hide all Microsoft services"
  6. Click the "Disable All" button
  7. Find and re-check vgc in the list
  8. Restart your computer

Adjust in-game settings

Even if your system has got the muscle according to the recommended specs, cranking everything to max can still slow it down. If the fight feels choppy, dial back your graphics settings with the steps down below.

  1. Open 2XKO → Settings > Video. Switch to Fullscreen mode for best performance.
  2. Reduce or turn off these settings first:
    • Resolution: Low
    • Max Framerate: Uncapped or 60
    • Shader Quality: Low
    • Self Shadowing: Off
    • Bloom: Low
    • V-Sync: Off
  3. Apply changes, restart the game, and test FPS.
