Troubleshooting Input Issues (2XKO)

If your game isn’t responding to your keyboard or mouse the way it should, don’t worry—you’re not stuck in neutral. Let’s get those inputs firing again so you can get back in the fight.

Check for loose connections

Make sure your keyboard and mouse are securely plugged in.

If they’re USB devices, try unplugging them and reconnecting to a different USB port.

Disable background apps

Certain apps (like overlays, macros, or screen recorders) can interfere with inputs.

Here's a list of common overlays you might have:

  • Discord
  • MSI Afterburner
  • NVIDIA GeForce Experience
  • AMD Radeon Software
  • Overwolf

...And many others. That being said, if you have any overlays, close these and test in-game to see if the input issue persists.

Update your drivers

Ensure your keyboard and mouse drivers are up to date.

You can check your device manufacturer’s website or use Windows Update to install the latest drivers.

Check in-game settings

  1. Launch 2XKO
  2. Open Settings
  3. In Controls, double-check your keybindings

Resetting to default can sometimes resolve conflicts.

Perform a Clean Boot:

  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Type msconfig into the text bar
  3. Click on System Configuration
  4. Once open, click on the Services tab
  5. ⚠️ Important: Check "Hide all Microsoft services"
  6. Click the "Disable All" button
  7. Find and re-check vgc in the list
  8. Restart your computer

Update Windows

Input issues can sometimes be linked to outdated Windows versions, so let's ensure it's updated!

Repair or reinstall the game

If all else fails, a clean reinstall of 2XKO should do the trick! We have a handy guide for that if you're ever lost.
